Helpful Video Streaming Information
1. Broadband.
You'll need a broadband connection
to fully enjoy this web site. Get
cable, DSL, wireless, or T-1 service
for the Internet. If you are sharing
your network with others at work -
tell them all to get offline so you
can enjoy some quality video
2. Computer Power.
Upgrade your computer to an Intel
Pentium 4, AMD Athlon, or better!
Newer Intel and AMD chips are
optimized for multimedia
applications like streaming video.
3. Video Card Upgrade.
Older video cards are working very
hard to play the video. Newer cards
with 32 megs or more of memory can
handle the load much better (128
megs I recommend). If your screen is
breaking up, you might consider a
simple upgrade for less than $100
bucks.
4. Video Driver Upgrade.
You should download the latest
drivers from your video card or
operating system vendor. Windows
users should download the latest
DirectX drivers. High performance
drivers are available for other
systems such as Linux, BSD, and
Macs. Newer, less buggy drivers will
help the system play video more
efficiently.
